All Wheel Drive?
I am buying an all wheel drive RV that is built on a 2002 Astro Van. What is "all wheel drive" and does it experience any problems? Is it any good?
Thanks in advance, Andy |
The easiest way to describe it is a full time 4WD. Basically all 4 wheels get power all the time. They have their advantages in certain terrain, but like 4 wheel drive there will be a little more maintenance.

So it doesn't just kick in when the rear wheels start to slip?

Yes sorry I missed the 2002 model indication. I think it was in 1999 they switched to where the front wheels only get power when needed. Sorry for the confusion.
Also, I was wondering if there is some way to add a switch or something to force it into 4WD and stay there until released? Any help and info would be appreciated, Andy |
