Another Stupid Fuel Pump Question
 

Hey
I ordered a fuel pump from Rockauto so far they sent me the wrong pump and now Im thinking them may even as we speak be still sending the wrong model pump .
Anyone know the answer to this In NY state does my truck have an Evap unit and should the pump I get have the plug in for it?
Please answer only if you are sure Thanks Much
The pump with Evap says Cal, the one without says Exc Cal (California)
so does that mean every other state get the pump with no Evap system?

Whether or not your truck has the California Emmisions crap depends on whether or not it was originally sold in California.

As far as the Evap thing goes, that's extremely simple to figure out. The evap box is a black box mounted on one end of the gas tank. It's roughly 10-12 inches by 10-12 inches and 6-7 inches thick I'd say. If you have it it'll be obvious cause it'll be butted right up against one end of the tank(front I think). If you get to looking at it and you are still unsure you can call your local GM dealer and give them your VIN and they'll tell you if it's got it.
