Do you think it would look like crap if I lifted it and didn't change the tires for a while? I've decided that my tires arn't that bad and I could get another 20 or 25 out of them.

if its just a small lift like what you were talking about, then i think it would look ok... but it only matters if you think it looks ok

For around $300 bucks I could get the complete torsion kit (with the tool) but what would I have to do to install them? Do I need a lift?

mmm.... not sure. The easier and cheaper route is taking it to a shop and letting them do it for $150 parts + labor total price.
