Audio input in Bose radio???

I have an '05 Silverado with the Bose radio - AM-FM-6 CD- Sat.Rad. I want to wire in the audio from my Garmin GPS to play thru the radio. Is there a jack for an auxillary audio input - and if so, what type of jack???

THANKS!!

RE: Audio input in Bose radio???

I just had my 2003 unit out to wire in an iPOD adapter. I THINK thereare RCA aux input(s). But not positive. It would only take a few minutes for you to check out. Pry off the dash trim piece from around the gauges, stereo, heat-ac controls, etc. It just snaps on. You will need to shift the gear selector into 1(low) and tip the steering wheel all the way down. Then the head unit is held in with 3, 7mm screws. Remove those, pull the unit out and check the back.

You might be able to get some info from www.crutchfield.com. Pick a component and go through the steps to see if it will work with the factory stereo. Or call their tech line. They are very knowledgable and helpful. Good Luck.

I concur ...Crutchfield guys are very helpful ....prices aren't the best, but for the follow-up service is worth it.
