Default Auto climate......worse now.

Ok, my auto climate was not blending warm and cool air. it was one or the other, and only when set manually. I 'reset' the computer, ie. dissconnected the battery for a few minutes, and it's stuck on hot only. If I set to auto, no matter the temp, it blows as hard as it can unless I set it close top to the actual temp in the cab. Above it or below it, it starts cranking out the air, and it hotter than hell. I'm still sweating from that test drive. At least before I could work it enough to get hot air then cool air to stay somewhat comfortable. What now?

You may be having a problem with the doors that control the flow temp etc.... Once the truck is warm with the engine off so you can hear better cycle it and see if you can hear the doors working. I've known some people that had this issue but not in a silverado.

Is it hot on both sides or just the driver side?

Argon

It still seems to put out some pretty hot air when I turn everything on. I've not got a really good test drive with it yet though. I'll try to give a real good check and let you know if that's the case. Thanks for posting.

Yes, both sides. When I was able to go between 90 and 89 to get hot and cold, I could put 89 on my side and 90 on the passenger side, and it would keep the cab comfortable with out continually being either hot or cold.

Argon..here it is

I let the engine get to full temp before I started playing with it.

On auto, at 72 cold *** air through the panal vents and modorate fan speed, both sides. Turn it up to 90 and here comes my hot air on the floor at full blast. 89 and back to the panal vents, pretty high fan speed. All on auto with a/c disabled.

Next I took manual control, a/c still disabled. I put it on the vents, 89 on my side and cold air at the same time 90 on the passenger side with hot air. Basically where I started.
