Ive been seeing pictures of people who have colored bowties on there grilles. Like the factory ones are always gold...ive seen blue, black, red and others. I was just wondering where to buy them or if you cant buy them, what to do to make one for myself.

I sanded mine down with 300 grit until it was kinda smooth and then 1000 grit to finish it. Then i cleaned it really good, got some spray on primer. Only one coat of that. Then after it dries put on your paint. I taped mine off and put a nice black border around a white bowtie. It looks good in my opinion. Put on several coats of paint

 

Most of the bowties that you see that are adifferent color are decals that go right over the emblem.

 

And where can I get them? Advance Auto Parts? Auto Zone? Online?

Here is one of the web sites I have found that sell them. I Just typed in bowtie decals in the search engine. I'm sure there are other websites.

 

some of those are pretty cool.... i didnt know you could buy them or i might not have painted mine. Oh well i like mine anyway.
