brake lights always on
 

2009 Silverado LS, Started with no cruise, replace brake switch, no cruise , brake lights always on, traction flashing, stabilitrak flashing, disconnected brake switch, brake lights still on. Any idea? should start maybe with cleaning all body grounds?? before spending money. from what i get from the internet it is a common issue.

The cruise did not work; were the brake lights also out at that time and then you changed the brake light switch? Or, the brake lights were working and when you replaced the brake light switch they stopped working?

it’s always a good idea to check all grounds. What state do you live in? You get lots of salt put on the roads in the Winter?

Do all other exterior lights work; head lights, side markers, turn signals, and 4 ways?
