I have searched first........ Is a break controller needed in order to hook up electric breaks on your trailer to a 06 model sierra? I have a 7 termanal plug which was purchased from uhaul. There is a termal and blue wire for the breaks already in this plug and looking at the wiring coming from the truck i see a blue wire also.

 

yes,you need a controller...its just pre-wired for ya
