Camaro Z28 350 into 89 Chevy 4x4 Stepside carb linkage
 

Hey All,

After 4 years of searching in my area, I finally found the truck I was looking for...granted it needs some work but it's a start.

So the guy I bought it off of told me that the motor was pulled from his (Unknown year) Camaro Z28 and rebuilt by the shop in town here. It's a Carb'd 350...I dont know the year off hand. Apparently he had a friend helping him with the swap who has since been deployed overseas. He chose to give it up after that and move on, which is why he sold it.

Here's the "Issue" apparently.. For whatever reason, they could not get the linkage to match up on the carb. I know it is an aftermarket intake (Edelbrock Performer RPM) and I believe the carb is an Edelbrock 4 barrel.

I'm not entirely sure where to start. Will it even work? The engine has not been started since the rebuild, so I'm assuming everything there is going to work just fine. I know the guy who rebuilt it and he is highly recommended in my small town.

Any help with this project would be greatly appreciated, ie..things to expect when doing this kind of swap etc..
