WELL MY CO-WORKER HAS A 2003 4.8 SIERRA 2 DOOR AND SMOKES DA CRAP OUT OF A DODGE HEMI, WELL AT LEAST TAKES IT BY A TRUCK. ALL HE HAS DONE TO HIS TRUCK IS HIS REAR GEARS TO 3:73 WHICH MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE, GIBSON HEADERS AND CAT BACK EXHAUST, K&N INTAKE, AND THE SUPERCHIPS PROGRAMER. I HONESTLY DIDN'T FILL A BIG GAIN WHEN I PUT THAT SUPERCHIPS PROGRAMER ON MY 97 SIERRA, BUT WHEN I CHANGED MY REAR.....WOW, BIG DIFFERENCE

gears are the best way to grab that power and put it to the pavement. i want to drop some 373s into mine:D

Anyone think it would be worth swapping gears on a 4X4? Double the cost.

Yeah but it would be sweet! For that money I could drop quite a few mods Im sure. Ever see the CO2 cooling systems?

You can also add the mass airflow. summit racing has them.

changing the gears will get you faster torque. i plan on doing it to mine. i have a gmc sierra '07.

If you have the money, change the gears. You will notice a big difference

This may sound stupid, but are the 3.73 gears standard on a 05 Crewcab z71?
