Hey, hows it going? I was wondering if anybody had a solution to my back rack problem. i have a 05 silveado extended cab with a truxcedo tonneau cover. If i wanted to put a back rack on and keep the cover i was told i needed to put two back rack tool box kits on to get the rack above the cover and have it supported well. anybody have any ideas how i can get around this or have a better kit to mount the rack to?

 

I couldn't find a backrack that would work with my cover. That said, one good source of info is plowsite.com -- folks who plow almost always have backracks and I know some of those guys have tried to accomodate covers as well. Good luck.

 

awesome man, thanks... i'm checkin it out now! there was no way i was gonna put that jimmy rigged set up on my truck... i think i could probably build a frame myself that would support the rack and let me keep the cover on
