cant shut hood?
i have a 2003 gmc sierra 1500 4.3. i wanted to get a little more out of it so i decided to put a k&n intake and a throttle body spacer. all went well til i realized that the intake would not be able to clear the hood when i shut it. so i had to do a little work. i got the hood to close, but i have the intake tube attached directly to the throttle body and not to the adapter that came with the intake. it is not sucking air but i want to do it the right way. do u think if i bought a 3" cowl hood i would have the clearance or should i just take off the throttle body spacer? thanks

RE: cant shut hood?
I have a 4" cowl induction hood on my 2004 Sierra SLT. Cowl induction hoods are made the
same under the bottom as stock hood, no extra space. Take the tbp off it is just a waste of good money. |
