Carburetor identification

Carburetor identification
I have an air filter which does not seat onto a screw through the carburetor, and want to determine what type of carburetor I have. I researched in the Haynes book I have for it and through Alldata Automotive database but have come across numerous types that can be on the truck. I have a V8 5.7L engine, but I highly doubt the carburetor is original since the air filter case will not attach since there is NO screw hole in it.
Anyone have any suggestions as to identifying what I have?

RE: Carburetor identification
I'm new at this, so bear with me.
The truck is an 87 Silverado R10 with a 350 5.7L engine.
I'm not sure what a TBI unit is. I thought it was a carburetor, but since it does not have the location for a threaded pin to go into to attach the air filter assembly, I am re-thinking whether it is or not.
The factory air cleaner assembly is the standard circular housing, with a hose that mounts to the front at the radiator. I don't believe there are any other hoses which connect to that assembly.
