Cat-back Exhaust and Warranty
Hi folks...I am thinking about getting a catback exhaust for my truck (2007 Sierra Classic), but I'm wondering if I'll have any issues with warranty claims with an aftermarket exhaust? I know you are technically allowed to "modify" your vehicle without effecting your warranty, but that doesn't mean the dealers won't give you a hard time when it comes time to make a claim.

RE: Cat-back Exhaust and Warranty
You should be fine, except they of course will not waranty the new exhaust. As long as it is just boltons they don't bother you.

I agree you should be fine, but I would contact GM to find out exactly what you can or can't do. The last thing you want to do is void your warranty.

Its fine,as long as the converters are not altered...Gm even sells (through ADI) some aftermarket exhausts

Thanks guys. I saw the aftermarket exhaust through GM, but they want too much money for it.

I just got my dual exhaust flowmaster and it was $280 out the door. So i would check at some exhaust shops around your town.
