cats
Not to beat a dead horse as this has been talked about, just wanted to check again since we have new members. I was checking on getting my exhaust done and was going to get the cats cut out, but the guy at the shop said it will kill my fuel milage. Is this true? Also I am planning on using dual pipes to an X pipe then into dual flomaster 40 and dual rear exit. Has anyone here used the X pipe and is it worth it?
It will kill mileage...unless you install some sort of ho2s "fooler" that lets the pcm think they are still there.
Its also illegal as hell...your state does not do emission testing?...I can't believe a muffler shop would remove em nowadays

You are not going to see much hp gain with removing the cats. Headers and exaust will gain the most, and can be done legally.
You could go with export pipes if you must and elimenate the cats, and get o2 simmulatorsfor the back sensors.
