CHANGING TRANS. PAN GASKET

Planning on changing out transmission pan gasket this weekend. Does anyone have any idea what type of gasket is best? Also, what are the torque specs on pan bolts? I don't want to over tighten them and pinch the gasket.
Thanks

rtv is yor best bet but let it sit for 24hrs to fully cure

FEL-PRO is the way to go. I use a light bead ofgasket sealer to hold it to the clean pan, then another light bead between the gasket and the trans. I usually let the trans drain for an hour then whip clean with cab cleaner on a rag. Just torque to factory specs.

use NO rtv...that **** has ruined many a trans by getting into stuff./..a gm or felpro gasket is all ya need....use a lint-free cloth to wipe the tranny clean
