I have a 2000 silverado 1500 4X4 with 106,000 miles. when i leave from a dead stop on a slight incline under medium throttle the front end willmake a clanging noiseand hop around. It's an intermittant problem. Any advice will be helpful

 

U sure it is in 2WD? Is there a light lit on the selector for 2WD?

 

thanks for the help. i tore the front diff apart and found a broken tooth on the ring gear.
