Chevy 4x4 4 door
 

I just got a new 1989 4 door Chevy, I am thinking of using a old frame from a 1985 regular cab and converting the 4 door to a short bed. Does anyone know if this will work? The only thing I am worried about is the short bed fitting with the 4 door, sometimes looking at it, it looks like it may work, other times I am not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems as if you should measure the OAL of both bodies, also the length of the frame on the 85 and check distances for alignment of mounts. Of course you may be able to move the mount brackets on the 85 frame. -- What do others think ???
