Cleaning a descreened MAF
One more question before I install the descreened MAF...
What do I clean the sensors with? What kind of cleaner? Can you get it at an autoparts dealer or do you have to go to a computer electronics store? And then do you wipe it down or just let it dry naturally? I figure I better clean it before I install it right? ;) |
RE: Cleaning a descreened MAF
They have a MAF sensor cleaner (I think CRC makes it) or you can use throttle body cleaner (DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER!)

RE: Cleaning a descreened MAF
Thanks for the cleaning information. Why not use carb cleaner? Isn't it the same as throttlebody cleaner?

RE: Cleaning a descreened MAF
No it not the same it leaves oil on it. The have it at Advanced Auto Thats were I get it.

Once again thanks for the input Rxsteven. And also for the input on the other answers too in the other thread about: Why you would not run a descreened MAF. I think I just accomplisshed tying the 2 threads together didn't I? By the way were are you located at rxsteven? Just curious. I am located in Houston, Texas. Where is every one else located also?
