clunking in steering coluum

I have a 02 Silverado that I just replaced the intermediate shaft which took care of the problem for about a month but now the clunking is back. The one I bought was not GM and was bought through a parts chain which claimed to be as good or better?? The clunking is a little different but still in the steering coluum?? Any ideas??

I have just removed the shaft and packed them with a good marine quality grease and it has taken care of things. My wifes yukon was done about a year ago and is still fine. Maybe you need to grease the new one - just guessing.

Take it back to the autoparts store and complain. If that does no good, then do as posted above.
