Default Cluster Programming

Anyone know of Delco/Delphi electronics shop that can program the vin, mileage and any software updates on my 2002 Silverado? My stock odometer/gear selector crapped out and I scored a upgraded(with trans temp guage) cluster from the same year. I plugged it in,BUT haven't driven a inch on it and it all works fine, but I want the vin and mileage to be correct. The DEALER(s)(tried 3) are of no use.

an 02 uses no software..it is not a module...an 03 or newer is....a delco place would have to put the miliage in,but that is all that would be done

Any suggestions on where to have it done? Do I understand you correctly that the mileage is the only programmable information for these clusters, the vin isn't in there?

correcta-mundo (fonzie voice off)..up until 03,clusters were not a module..no brains in em..they are simply a solid state device that responds to commands from the body module (bcm) and pcm...the dealers are correct in that there is nothing they can do to it.
say you come in needing it replaced,we order 1 and give them your miles, they put miles on it and ship it...we slap er in and its happy motoring.

03 and up...we can stock em..they are just a blank minded cluster..we put it in,program miles, vin, and operating software...(these are the ones that have been crap-canning a lot.

try "autocraft electronics"
