No it is not only for burning rubber, but it is nice to do. I takes the slack out between the shifts. It prolongs the life of te tranny also is what oters have claimed.
As far as issues. I had a tiny one, but it worked itself out. It did not want to shift like I wanted it to from 1st to second, but like I said it relearned itself after a bit. No problems now and very happy. Very easy instal also.

I bought mine off Ebay. This is who I bought mine from and many others: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CORVE...=p4506.c0.m245

And this is a whole list of different people or companies selling them: http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Car-Truc...&_sop=15&_sc=1
There is even a billet servo listed for 74 dollars and that is pretty cheap, but it will make your tranny sift really herd from what I was told so I stated away from it. Hope this helps.

Yes you can. The 4L60E is the same thing as the 700R4. Only difference is the 4L60E has more electrical parts.

Default Question

Ok - ruff - this question is for you.

I have a 2002 5.3 silverado.

I tow a 28ft trailer - not all the time - just local pulls.

I am getting a complete tranny flush, new filter.

I want to get the servo's

I have looked at your links - and I get a little confused.

I want to know about every servo I should buy
1 to 2
2 to 3
3 to 4
And to OD

Since my tranny is gonna be drained I want to do every servo at once.

Thanks for your help
Doug

The corvette servo is the piston for the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. The 4th gear or overdrive servo sits together with the corvette servo. The overdrive servo costs more but is worth it when towing on the highway. It applys more pressure to the band to keep it from slipping under heavy loads.
