Default Crane Cam's

We'll guys I know it has been a while since my last post and all. But damn have I been Busy lately. I dropped my truck off at my friends house who works for chevy in my area. He is installing a more agresive cam and new lifters and roller rockers. Getting the trany flushed shortly after that and replacing all the fluids. Also while he is at it he is replacing my fan clutch for me. didn't know what all I needed for the cam install but I have a list at his house of all the parts and will fill yall in on the cost later but damn am I excited. If all goes right I'll have it back this weekend and then to fort worth for a dyno and tune the following weekend. But i am already missing my truck. But any questions or input would be greatly appreciated. ....LATER

For sure dude! I would love to get a cam swap. Seems like after all the parts and labor you could probably get a supercharger just as easily though. Wonder which would turn better numbers. I'd think supercharger but then again, if he's installing roller rockers and other goodies at the same time you might be getting the winning combo right there. Keep us posted!

well you might be able to get a supercharger but the labor to put it on is going to be more expensive plus a lot of the time when getting a supercharger you need to switch out your camany ways. and youmight need an intercooler for the super charger plus there is some mods that need to be done to the engine when installing the supercharger.

The roller rockers will have to wait until I can buy the stroker kit and dart heads. But I should have my truck back late sunday and will let everyone know around monday. plus I want to do everything I can before I buy a supercharger.

Man, if my truck was payed off I'd be interested in doing some serious mods like that but I hate to dump that kind of money into it when I still owe over $15,000.

As for supercharging, you could install it yourself if you have the tools, some mechanical know how, and the instructions. Should be relatively straight forward. And you don't have to run an intercooler though I'm sure it would help. Most of the supercharger kits I've seen don't come with an intercooler.

What kit did you put in there? Did you go with the hydraulic?
