Custom Intakes - Post what you made
Here are some pictures of a custom intake I did. Just bought the high quality 4" dryer hose and an air filter. Total cost was $25 for the filter and $12 for the hose.

How well is it workin for ya?

I feel more low and top-end response from just adding the 4" duct. The aluminum duct is very cool even when the engine is warmfrom driving. I think this is a great alternative to the high priced cold air kits.

I'll post some pics when its not freaking freezing outside. I have a 3.5" steel intake tube, powder coated black, that uses an oversized 3.5 X 10" ( i think its that long or longer maybe 12") cone filter. The filter and rubber sleeves that connect it all are blue. It's a knockoff Airaid intake. Got it for $40 on ebay. Comes with a matching heat shield. Its pretty sweet.

Where the heck is your MAF? Are you even running with one?

It is attached to the air filter. You can barely see it in the second picture.

Are you getting a good seal?
|

Yeah. It fit perfectly on the TB side. On the MAF side I had a leftover rubber reducer from the air filter that I stuck on the back of the MAF and used a clamp to seal it.
