Default Cut-outs in exhaust

Ihave a 1990 silverado and are upgrading the engine. im putting headers on and planned to put cutout valvesbehind the headersbut can only find 2 inch manual cable cutouts.i dont want to spend the 300 bucks for electronic cutouts. Would that cause any problems going from 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe through the 2 inch cutout and then back to 2 1/2 for the rest of the exhaust system? Thanks

If you welded it in, it might slow down your exaust, or create pressure and a suction to speed it up.... Hell i dont know, but it should work. If you think about it theres not alot of problems that it could create. Maybe you should ignor this post and listen to the next one.

Cheevy1224 - Dude are you drinking? Ha!

Anyway, I would keep looking. When you decrease tube size you will decrease flow, especially when cutouts are closed. When they are open you will probably not notice any difference.
