Door handle instalation
 

Just recieved my painted door handles for my 06 silverado. Was hoping somebody here might have install instructions? I've read somewhere around the Internet that instaling the handles might require a tool?

From what I've read you don't need any special tools. Just pop the door panel off, use a screwdriver to remove the clips holding the lock assembly and lock rods. Then there are 3 nuts to take off and you're done. One of the nuts requires removing the rubber plug in the side of the door to gain access. That's just what I've read, mine should be delivered tomorrow so hopefully I will get mine in this weekend as well. Good luck and I hope that helps you out.

cool! If I get some time tomorrow I will try to install them. Looking at the handles it does not look like a hard task, maybe the hardest part is removing all the panels.

It was easy over all. Hardest part was taking the door panels.

Congrats on the install, mine showed up Friday afternoon via UPS. I opened the box and a huge chip in the paint was staring me in the face. Needless to say I did not get them installed this weekend but I will be re-ordering again after they credit my account.
