Hey im new i just have one quesiton my girlfriend has a 02 z71 extended cab and for chrismas im getting her a new sound system what the speaker size in the front door and in the rear door??

i beilve the fronts are 4x6's but not completly sure

 

fronts are 6 1/2 rears on mine are 5x9 but i have std cab im guessing its also 6 1/2 for the rear

 

6" and 6.5" will fit in the front doors. 4x6 in the rear. There might even be a 1.5" tweeter in the front doors too.

 

If you have a Monsoon system your choices will be limited. They run a 2 ohm system.

 

The front speakers are 6 1/2" and the rears are 4x6 in an ext. cab.

 

Hey while we're on the subject, my front left tweeter is blown, and since I have the bose system I was told to add aftermarket speakers I would have to change the whole head unit and all speakers due to the way they are wired. Is this true?

 

I heard that before too but I've never really tried it so I dunno. The speakers are probably components meaning they are wired together in such a way that they work together like one speaker. But Bose is goofy about there systems so it could be wired differently. Its a Delco radio right?

 

I am not sure which head unit, I just know it has the bose option, so I assume it is a bose radio as well.
