I will look into that, thanks racethisz71. JohnAdamsR - I do plan to hook up a sub, so do you think I should go to the sub wires, or the high level from the rear door speakers?

with your current setup you have to use the door speaker level. It will sound ok, everything will work....but it would sound better with an aftermarket stereo or sound processor (either one of those would also allow the use of RCA sub wires, which is an easier hookup.)

also, stay away from powered subs (amp built in). they sound like ass.

Yeah I have noticed that in the past. I think I am going to put a single 12" behind the rear seat. I have been able to design a box that will fit. Its tight, but it will go. Also I had the 12 laying around. I bought it for my wifes car, and it was too much for her, so I then got her a 10 and the 12 has been just sitting there, so I might aswell use it.

I installed an 8 in my '01 using the high level through an RCA converter. It sounded OK but took a while to get the gain on the amp and the converter set correctly.

Just an update, I contacted Bose, and they are very willing to replace the tweeter. Thanks to racethisz71 for the info. I may upgrade to aftermarket later. Now to get the speaker replaced I need to know the part number off the speaker. Anyone know the number for the right front tweeter? Maybe johnadams since you have done a recent upgrade? I really don't want to take things apart till I have the new parts in.

i couldnt tell you what the part number is without removing the speaker and looking.....maybe a Chevy Dealer service dept would know?
