Its been a while...

97 Silverado 4x4... installed a cd player this afternoon and had to apply the ebrake to remove the dash. first time i've done so since i got the truck. released the brake and rolled down the driveway (downhill in reverse). as soon as i cut the wheel and leveled off into the street, the rear brakes locked.

after a few hours of pulling, tugging, spraying wd40, cussing, prying, etc... it still locks up at low speeds, and usually when i turn the wheel... any ideas? i've never seen anything like this, and this is my first vehicle with rear drum problems...

 

for those who are interested, it turned out to be a bad abs module.
