Dumb question about cargo light switch

I was wondering if anyone could help an idiot out and identify where you would turn the cargo light on in a 2008 Chevy Silverado LT2 Crew Cab. I have absolutely looked everywhere for 3 months now and can't find it. Thanks a bunch!

Don't those come on automatically when the truck is in Park and the door is open? That is how my truck worked.

I don't know about the newer style interior, but in the 06 we got there is a dial to the left of the steering wheel below the 4wd selector that when pushed all the way up past clicking turns on all the lights.

Whatever you do, at all cost, I would avoid looking in the owner's manual. LOL

Owner's manual? What is that??? I've already spent probably a total of 3 hours in that worthless book. I do have a turn dial like yours 92chevy but it just turns the interior lights on. My 02 Z71 had a push button right under the fog lights and my 98 S10 had the turn dial. All the lights do come on when I shut her down and open the door but they go off after a period of time. I race motocross and this cargo light comes in handy for the night races when I'm loading my bike up. Thanks for yalls input. I guess for now I'm still clueless.

In my 05, which is the older style, the button is on the lower/mid left side of the dash near the rotary knob for the exterior lights. It looks like a lamp with downward slanting lines depicting rays of light.... any help? there was another button near it for the fog lamps. It took me awhile to figure it out I was always confusing the two.
