I have heard excellent thing about the supermaxx system threw friends who have installed it. I dont know if it matters, but they are not emmisions legal. Good luck and keep us posted

Thanks for the reply.

As for the emmisions, I live in Texas and they don't do emmissions testing here so it's not a problem. If I understand our state law the headers shouldbe under code. The only reason they aren't emmissions legal in all 50 states is the relocation of the cats.

I am not familiar with this company, but holy crap that is expensive!! you would do better to get edlebrock (or the like) headers for @ $300 and a custom exhaust from your local shop. From headers back would be less than $600 at the most. Make sure if you live near the mountains ot the coast you go with ceramic coating to keep rust under control.

Yeah, those are high... I live in texas also and I just cut my cats out instead of buying high flow ones. Headers and mufflers should only cost you about six to seven for nice ones, and then another 1-200 to get it all installed. Thats about what it is up here in the panhandle anyway.... Good luck

Jeg's sells a Y-pipe w/o cats for $200, has bungs for O2 sensors. That and headers and a hack-and-dump will give you the same power for like $500. Beats $1200-$1400. Put $900 towards a thermostat, PCM4LESS, K&N drop in, and still have $500. Make 60 more horse.
