Engine Light Help!
 

Ok, after I installed my Jetmass air flow censor my engine light came on after 30 miles. Then the next day it went off by it self. I got my custom tune done and my truck runs great and gets good gas mileage. Then the engine light came on again for one day and went off. It was off for two days and now its on again. Should I be concerned, my friend said its just running lean and not to worry because the chevy motors are bullet proof. What should I do?

Those lights are retarded, mine come and go throughout the year. Nothing to be worried about, it's because it doesnt like something youve put on, but it isnt effecting your truck. If it stays for a while go to an auto parts store and use thier diagnostics reader. By the way, how much of a difference did you notice with the Jet MAFS? I'm running out of mod ideas...lol.

The Jet MAF gives the truck a lot more air and helps the cold air intake better gas milage and torque. A few days later I did get the custom tune from MTI and man what a difference the truck halls ass now and gets good gas milage and shifts so much smoother than with the Super Chips programmer. I was gladwhen Isold the programmer it made the truck shift hard and really only helped power slightly. The cutom tune is what really made the big difference in HP and torque.

What programmer did you have? Canned tunes suck no matter what, especially Hypertech.

Ha ha, yeah I heard that before too. Any handheld that does not allow you to do more than "93 or 87 tune?", "Increase shift firmness", and "Increase top speed" are useless. Hell even mine wasn't all that special til I modified the hell out of the tune.
