Engine/trans swap
My son has a 1992 2500 4x4
he bought it two weeks ago and the trans went out. He has a 1993 with a good motor and trans that was wrecked but runs great. I understand that the 92 is a standard 790r4 and the 93 is “electronic trans”?
Does anyone know if the motor AND trans could be swapped? Computer and plugs swap over?
Many help would be great before we tow it to the transmission shop and get out the check book.
