Exhaust
I have a 2007 GMC with the 5.3L.. and i want a nice sound i dont want a loud sounds i just want a quiet rumble.. I am thinking about the Dynomax Ultra Flo SS. but im not sure if i want the oval or round
|
Have you checked out some sound samples like on youtube.com??? Or the Magnaflow website??
|
yeah but i dont know if the guys truck has the round or oval... i am not sure what the difference in sound is
|
I dont think round or oval makes a differrence unless you are lookin for looks too.

I have a 05 Sierra 5.3 and I put the flowmaster cat back on. Mild/moderate settings, side exit. Sounds good. But the k&n series 57 is louder than the exhaust at higher rpms. That the way I want it. Quite cruising down the highway so can actually have a conversation with the people in the cab with me

It sounds wicked when the engine is under load. That's for sure.

Have you thought about porting your throttle body?? You can do it yourself easy. It really helps smooth out the flow for incoming air.
|
Though about it. Haven't looked into it. Is it worth it? Any power gain or anything?

I tell you where i noticed it, is bottom end. I took my flap out and knife edged all round. Then from where the flap sits I took a air tool with a course bit and opened up the front of it and then used a fine sandpaper wheel to smooth it out. Doing this will allow the air to come in faster so you get quicker throttle response.
