Fabtech, RCD, or Pro Comp?
Need some feedback on these lift kits. I planning to go 6 inches, if anyone has any one of these lift kits on a similar truck, let me know the pros and cons. Thanks in advance!

RE: Fabtech, RCD, or Pro Comp?
Petersen's 4 wheel & off-road January 2007.
Nine kits tested on only chevy trucks: RCD, Pro Comp, Trail Master, Rough Country, Skyjacker, CST, Rancho, Superlift, Rock Crawler. CST - great in the sand, complex installation Rancho - In cab shock adjustability, drove like a stock truck Pro Comp - Minimal rebound, Rear does not keep up with front Rough Country - Completely bolt on, too stiff on dirt roads RCD - Handles abuse no problem, Exposed Differential Rock Krawler - Whole different level of truck, Dual front CV required Skyjacker - Moves front diff towards center, bumpstops too small Superlift - Inexpensive and rides great, Grade 5 hardware (8 is best) Trail Master - Easy to install, Little soft in front Best bang for the buck - Super lift Best Hauler - Rough Country Best in sand/high speed - CST Best light trail duty - CST Best price - Trail Master Most offroad worthy undercarriage - Rancho Overall winner (price not considered) - CST Pick up the issue for the complete rundown. I have a Fabtech, I think it's really stiff, but, I like a truck to ride like a truck. Washboard terrainputs the truck in Agitate mode at high speeds; I keep the tire pressure relatively high. |
