fitting 35x12.50
 

i am trying to fit a set of 35x12.50 on my silverado ext. cab i was wondering if i could do this anyway withoiu a suspension lift... trying to save money... someone told me they would fit with a 3 inch bosy and 1.5 inch leveling kit and a 2" lift block in the back what would be the best way to do this?

I have seen 315 70 17 fit on a 05 with just a 3 inch body lift and a little cranking of the t-bars. Which are about 34.36" tall and 12.4" wide.

its a 2001 ...thakns for the help i believe just the 3' body lift would do in onroad driving because the wheels are not too wide but im scared if you get offroad it would rub pretty bad...you think it would clear with a 2' bold lift (since they dont look as bad) and a 2' leveling kit

I know the body lift seems like a good idea due to cost, but it really doesn't look good. I had one on my 93' and was able to fit 35s with a minor bumper trim and I hammered in the bottom corner on the back of the front wheel wells. But I didn't like the way the frame stuck out. Maybe it will look OK with some nerf bars, but personally I would wait and save my money for a suspension lift.

I am with smoke on this one. I think you should wait and get the suspension lift if you are dead set on the 35's. you could most likely squeeze 33's without lifting it, you should be able to turn up the torsion bars and get enuf with minor trimming to clear the 33's if you want to go that route.

I have 33s on my truck with no lift or torsion bar adjustments at all.

what is your off set and width. Most people don't think of the width. They all think that 33's are 33's. but when you add width then the game changes a little bit. My z-71 has wide offset wheels and I had 33x12.50's, so I had to crank the torsion bars a bit so that they didn't rub when I was turning off road in a ditch. It's at those extreams that you have to take into account, just so that you don't mess up your truck.

i noticed that some leveling kits in the 3" with a 2' rear lift block claim to clear 35' tires on a narrow rim would this be possible

I wouldn't see why not! Offset would most likely be critical to get right, otherwise they may rub.
