Flowmaster 44 on stock exhaust
I am looking to replace the stock muffler on my 1998 k1500 with a flowmaster 44. WOuld this upgrade be worth it if I left it as a single exhaust and didn't put duals on? I am looking for a little louder exhaust then the stock but I don't want it as loud a the dual systems.

RE: Flowmaster 44 on stock exhaust
It should give you a nice throaty tone

I think it would be a great option to the duel out. Nice tone when you step on it and it should be soft at crusing speeds.

Ihave that on my 94 k1500 with the dual outs and it sounds really good on take off then quiets way down when crusing. On thehighway youcanhardly even hear it. If you just want a single thats fine but the duals sound and look really good.

That is exactly whatI have a 44 flow master on my stock exhaust and it gives it a little sound when you want it,I really like it. Duels on my truck would get ripped of pasture driving.

RE: Flowmaster 44 on stock exhaust
Do the flowmaster 44's bolt on or weld on?
|
RE: Flowmaster 44 on stock exhaust
Get it welded on. That is how mine are and that is the only way i would go.

RE: Flowmaster 44 on stock exhaust
you can bolt on if you want, but might as well get it welded. To save some cash, bolt it on yourself then take it to get it welded when you can.
