fog light installed

it took me about 3 hours to install my new fog lights. afterwards i realised i should have done a how to because i had to cut openings to put them in the stock bumper. it is amazing how much stuff GM put on our trucks with just those plastic "pop locks". In the interest of doing things right, i took off the plastic part of the bumper to cut and install them correctly.
To clarify i didn't have stock fog lights and there was a full plastic piece where the stock fog lights should go.

I am happy with it. they are called navigator hyperwhite driving lights. about 50 bucks at wally world. i can't afford piaa but these are probably as good.

I will be posting pics of all the lastest mods I have done this month just as soon as i get the truck washed up.

RE: fog light installed

My stock driving light sh*t the bed. They were leaking like hell and after I sealed them up, the silicon I used made the mirror coating on the reflector flake off when they got hot. (It dripped inside the light and just destroyed the reflector, the water got in them again too and washed away some of the reflector too). I didn't want to spend $50 on the same garbage so I bought $20 Sylvania driving lights from Walmart and mounted them to the original brackets. The bounce a little over bumps as they are heavier then the stock ones, but they are much brighter. They are heavy glass and coated steel insted of plastic. Not bad, they look aftermarket but fit well inside the fog lamp cut-out. (Speaking of which I have to re-aim the suckers soon, I keep blinding oncomming traffic, lol Ops!)

My factory foglights seem really good. Maybe I just don't know what good is. They do clear traffic well though, and you can see clear into a ricer if you get close enough.

You have the better ones at least on yours. The bigger ones that are a little stronger.
