forcing to 4 cylinders

Question 1: I have one of the new Silverados that drops from 8 down to 4 cylinders under certain conditions. I would like to find out if there is any reprogrammed chips/computers that ya'll have heard of that would allow the driver to force the truck to stay in the 4 cylinders after reaching a cruising speed. It would be particularly good if this could be controlled with the towing button on the shifter (I read about setting up a different shift pattern on the towing button over on the SS forum).

I am willing to lose some power after reaching cruising speed to pick up the additional mileage.

RE: forcing to 4 cylinders

Nope... That shift pattern they were talking about just changes the speed and RPM the transmission shifts...
