Front Bump Stops
first off i have a 04' z71 1500. so today i was changing shocks cause they have seen better days. when i pulled the front tire off to make it easier i notice the A-arm was almost touching the rubber bumper. after i got done changing all of them i crawled under and looked at them and they are actually touching the rubber bumper. what im wondering if anyone would take a look at theres and tell me if there is a gap. that would explain why it rides rough in the front end. i may have to turn the torsion bars to get it back to stock. if anyone would take a look at that for me it would be much appreciated. thanks

RE: Front Bump Stops
Well I have no idea what it supposed to look like stock, but mine are touching (just barely) and my truck sits completely level. Those things they named "jounce bumpers" and they help the truck have a smoother ride over rough terrain so they are supposed to be working at all times, not just when the truck bottoms out.

RE: Front Bump Stops
well thats what they are doing, just barely touching. i just wasn't sure if they were suppose to be touching all the time or not. the shocks did help alot though, i did notice that. now when i hit one bump it feels like just one and not 3 or 4.

Same situation with my '01 Z71 only it sits down right on the bumpers. I'm planning to adjust the torsion bars up and add shocks all around. It is not level now. I know it rides a lot better with the camper towing behind...lifts some of the weight off the front.
