Fuel management in 2008 6.0

Default Fuel management in 2008 6.0

Can I run non fuel management valves in all 8 cylinders. How do I deactivate the fuel management system. Thank you.

Yes, you can run non-fuel management (AFM) valves in all 8 cylinders on your 2008 6.0 engine. To deactivate the fuel management system, you’ll need to do two things:

Replace the lifters: You’ll need to swap out the AFM lifters with standard lifters for all 8 cylinders.
Tune the engine: You’ll need to use a tuner or take it to a shop to have the AFM system turned off in the engine’s computer (ECU).
This will disable the fuel management system and allow all 8 cylinders to run full-time. Make sure to consult with a mechanic or professional tuner to ensure everything is done correctly.
