GM Goodwrench 350 Rebuild
I just bought a used GM good-wrench 350 4 bolt main. I need some guidance on rebuilding it. The bottom end of the motor is good and im wanting to get some more power out of it. Its going in a 1992 silverado with the 700r4 trans and stock rearend gears. I found a package on summitracing.com that includes
Summit Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 282/282, Lift .465/.465 cam. Summit Remanufactured, Q-Jet, 750 cfm, Spread Bore, Electric Choke, Single Inlet, Dichromate carb. Summit Intake Manifold, Stage 1, Dual Plane, Aluminum, Natural, Square/Spread Bore, Chevy, Small Block. Timing Chain and Gear Set, True Roller, Double Roller, Steel Sprockets, Chevy, V6/V8 Small Block, Summit racing hydraulic lifters. Would this be a wise choice for a stock bottom end? I am going to replace all the gaskets and check all the bearings and replace if needed. Should i get different heads if i use that cam? Any suggestions? Thanks |
