GM Parts Catalog Problem, 97 K1500

I'd appreciate knowing if anyone has encountered this or knows anything: I purchased a new wiper motor assembly (GM part #15036007)at the local Chevy dealer for my '97 K1500. In short, it "don't work." It only functions on the fast setting, and the wipers don't park when you turn it off. Also, the washer squirts constantly whenever the ignition key is on. I know the wiring and switch are fine, as my old motor works fine in all settings (hi, lo, delay, and wash). The old motor makes a lot of noise, and that is the only reason I want to replace it. I suspect the new motor is fine, but is made for a truck that doesn't have delay. The electrical receptical in the new motor is gray, and has "STD" stamped on it. The old motor receptical is black and has "PULSE" stamped on it. I brought this to the attention of the Mr. Goodwrench parts man, but the parts catalog shows only the one part number for all '97 trucks. I suspect the parts catalog has an error. If anyone knows what the correct part number I need is, please let me know.

Did you bring the old motor to the dealership?

the motor is fine..

it came with a "dummy" module in it..you have to either purchase a new module or transfer your old one over

Thanks Argon. I never thought of that. I knew that GM sells the circuit boards separate in case you have one of those go bad, but it never entered my mind that they sell new motors without a new circuit board. I'll just canibalize the old one. Like I said in my original message, the old motor works fine in all settings. It just makes a lot of noise.
