Im thinking about buying a 1988 chevy k/1500, it's got 124k miles, brush guard and it's lifted with i think 35's, it's only $3,995 is this a good deal. And are these trucks reliable i heard something like they lack power because of the carb/fuel injection setup

 

sounds like a great deal just check the suspension to make sure the suspension looks good. Alot of times guys screw these trucks up off road adn then sell them cheap so it will be someone elses problem. Just look real good.

 

well it sounds like a decent deal, just take a fellow gear head with you and drive the vehicle, as well as go over every little detail of it, mechanically before you buy. as for the TBI setup ...it is garbage, i cant stand TBI but it works..if it was me, as i did anyways, go carbed..it just is less of a pain!
