got gas in my eye
 

i got a old truck from my dad, a old 1988 8 cylinder 1500 and i seen gas leakin from the side of the carborator so i took the top off to look at the seam it looked ok i took out the fuel pressure regulator (i think thats what its called that thing that squirts gas down 2 them hole thingys) because i alredy had the top off and cleaned them i put everything back to gether and tried to start it up it ran for a second but then started spraying gas eveywher (lots went down in the motor) i want to know how to fix this the ceap way cause its just a old beater for the field and i dont have any money (my dad is mad) ??????

Well that thingy is called a Fuel injector. I believe they started putting those in 1985.
Throttle body. The best thing is have your dad look at the throttle body while you start it.
This way he can see exactly where the fuel is leaking from. Make sure that safty googles are availible to prevent future eye contaminations. I know that stuff burns badly ive been there before. Could be that the fuel injector is not secured down onto the throttle body.
But I dont know. Hope this helps and good luck with it.
