Default HARD STARTING

IF ANYBODY HAS HAD TO DEAL WITH THIS COME ACROSS OR HEARD PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I HAVE A 2002 1500 2WD WITH 63000 MILES. JUST RECENTLY THE TRUCKSTARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS STARTING. I WOULD PUT THE KEY IN TURN IT, YOU HEAR FUEL PUMP GO ON, STARTER CRANKS HARD, TRUCK WONT START. TURN THR KEY OFF WAIT 2 - 5 SECONDS TURN THE KEY TRUCK STARTS LIKE A CHAMP. IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE MY TRUCK ISN'T GETTING ENOUGH FUEL ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT AT STARTING. DOES NOT NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. OR I'VE TRIED TURNING THE KEY SUPER SLOW AND SOMETIMES IT STARTS RIGHT UP. I'M LOST ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS IN ADVANCE...

if you turn the electronics on, but don't start it, (so the fuel pump runs) and let it sit that way for a while, will it start up normally?

Oh, and caps lock is like cruise control for cool....

Thanks for the reply. The truck cranks, and cranks hard. It seems like it wants to start but just wont. If I turn the key to the off position then turn it so I hear the electronics turn and try to start it, the truckstarts great. On ocation during the first attempt I will get a slight chug as if about to start. Almost sounds like it is starving for fuel.... I just dont know.

yea a guy at work told me it might be the fuel pressure regulator but man those things are high . do you know what the pressure should be im gonna get a gauge ?do you check the pressure after the truck has set awhile? or after it has been ran ?
