Headlight Dilema
So, when driving along at night with the low beams on my headlight pattern looks, well, weird. Basically it looks like a single popsicle shaped beam on the right and little or nothing on the left. Kind of crummy if you want to see anything. I've pulled up to a wall about 10' off and both lights look fairly even about 3' off the ground. Any ideas as to why the pattern is so weird or is it just me?

You could try adjusting them and messing with them to see if it gets better or worse.
Screwing around is always my advice! |
Brilliant!
Yeah I was thinking of taking it out in a dark field somewhere and adjusting them to where I think they should be. I was looking for an excuse to get new lights. Good advice!

The way I adjust them is pull up to a wall as close as you can till the bumper kisses the wall. You will be able to see the small beam on the wall. Get some electrical tape and make a cross right in the center of the small beams. Now back up slowly and as straight as you can till about 20 feet. Get out and adjust the beams till they are just on the bottom and outside of the crossed tape. Driver side should be bottom and left, passenger should be bottom and right. Try that and see how that looks.
