Default Headlight Help

So about 2 years ago I bought some crappy headlight assemblies for about 60 bucks thinking that my view range would increase. Well it didnt. To be honest I probably only see 15 feet in front of me before the light goes dark....My truck is dangerous to drive at night.
I own a 1994 Chevy C1500 pickup. I bought this thing really cheap and have used it daily for 4 years and I Love it. Can someone lead me/give advice as to what I should do so I don't hit someone walking at night? I've looked into OE replacement assemblies, and then maybe LED bulbs? I'm not sure what to do.

What are the chances that your light bulbs aren't as bright as they should be? Maybe a corroded ground is making them perform poorly.

You can always switch to HID headlighs. I use them in my 2004 silverado and am very pleased with the results.

First off- are your lights aimed properly?

HID kits are around $40 on Amazon- I just put them on the lows and brights for my truck.

HOWEVER- PLEASE AIM YOUR LIGHTS AFTER INSTALLING. Jerks put HIDs in their halogen housings quite often and never aim them downwards. The high intensity light combined with the housing causes excessive glare that is both illegal and dangerous.
