Something could be lodged in your duck vents preventing direct heat from entering your cabin area or as Acnas said, preventing the vent door from directing your heat to your cab vents vent

petebergman,

I am sorry to learn that you are experiencing an issue with your vehicle although you changed the thermostat. I understand you are looking to resolve this issue yourself and I may not be able to give any technical advice but I would like to look into this concern for you. Please private message me if I can be of any assistance.

Regards,
