hello been a long time since ive posted
we had our baby boy on the 23rd of november
anyway i am thinking of ways to get my bubarn to start alot easier in this cold cold cold weather she is very cold blooded im thinking of putting an external fuel pump in maybe a high flow pump. it has the spot on he carb fro an electric choke its just i dont feel like fighting with it eather will a high flow pump work im simply trying to get fuel to flow to the carb to start it as once itsz started and has ran fro at least 30 minutes it will run perfect but if any less i put it in gear and it dies out any ideas or input woud be greatly apriciated |
Congratulations on the addition to the family!!!!
I personally would much rather get the electronic choke working right before I started adding other items. They aren't complicated and when working right are fantastic. My old 84 Silverado I could pump the gas twice hit the key and it started and idled perfect. Adding more fuel pressure really isn't going to help anyway - you need the choke working. |
thanks im leaning towards gettin the choke maybe even a manual choke

Go electric - it is one wire and works better IMO.

Congratulations on the newborn!!!
Well I've never had to mess with carburetors before, but I agree with Shamrock. An electric choke will help. Do that first, then start messing with it. |
